PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prime mover tension device for rope way, in which the whole device is formed into compact.SOLUTION: A prime mover tension device for rope way comprises: a base frame 13 fixed to an upper part of a foundation; and a main frame 18 supported to the base frame 13 and capable of moving in a cross direction. The main frame 18 comprises a lower frame 19 and an upper frame 20, a pulley 51 is rotatably supported to a rear end part of the upper frame 20, and a front side slide flange 21 is formed on an upper surface of the lower frame 19 in a projecting state toward both side directions, and on a lower surface of the lower frame 19, a rear side slide flange 22 is formed in a projecting state toward both side directions. The base frame 13 comprises: a support roller 16 contacting the front side slide flange 21 from an upper side on a front end part; and a support roller 16 contacting the rear side slide frame 22 from a lower side on the rear end part. A hydraulic cylinder 23 connected to the front end part of the lower frame 19 and the rear end part of the base frame 13 is included in the lower frame 19. |
