PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiaromatic polyamide fiber and semiaromatic polyamide nonwoven fabric superior in heat resistance and mechanical strength, which are formed of semiaromatic polyamide having high heat resistance and superior crystallinity, and to provide a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: The semiaromatic polyamide fiber and the semiaromatic polyamide nonwoven fabric are formed of the semiaromatic polyamide that contains a terephthalic acid component and a diamine component. The diamine component is any one of 1,8-octanediamine, 1,10-decanediamine or 1,12-dodecanediamine, and a triamine unit with respect to a diamine unit in polyamide is 0.3 mol% or less. |
