1. A compact optics module for a head mounted display that includes an eye imaging camera comprising:
a. a reflective image source; b. a polarized light source that illuminates the reflective image source; c. an angled partial reflector that transmits illuminating light and redirects the image light reflected towards an absorptive polarizer and a lens element that converges the image light; d. a combiner that redirects the image light, along with transmitted light from the environment, toward a user's eye to provide a field of view including a displayed image and a see-through view of a surrounding environment that is viewable by the user's eye; and e. wherein the eye imaging camera is positioned adjacent to the angled partial reflector to capture light reflected by the user's eye.
