The present invention relates to a transgenic potato with enhanced drought and salt tolerance using bZIP17 gene and a production method thereof. More specifically, a bZIP17 (basic-leucine zipper 17) gene separated from Arabidopsis thaliana L. Heynh is used for transformation of a potato which is a staple crop. Since the transgenic potato is enhanced with drought and salt tolerance, the potato can be useful as a disaster-resistant crop which does not cause production issues even in case of an abrupt climate change including global warming. |
