PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that when authentication processing is executed between an RFID tag and an authentication server, either mutual authentication or the authentication of only the RFID tag is executed, and either processing of updating an ID for authentication or processing of not updating the ID for authentication is executed in a fixed manner, causing difficulty in a flexible operation responding to the application or performance of the RFID tag including using one RFID tag for distribution management in a high security level by the mutual authentication, making a sufficient authenticity determination even by the authentication of only the RFID tag, and reducing power consumption although reducing the security level by not updating the ID for authentication.SOLUTION: An authentication server includes information indicating whether to update an ID for authentication in an authentication request to be transmitted to an RFID tag to determine whether the RFID tag which has received the authentication request updates the ID for authentication. Also, the authentication server transmits random numbers from the RFID tag and a hash value based on the ID for authentication to the RFID tag when executing mutual authentication. |
