The invention relates to a projection device (1) for the back projection of images, comprising at least one projector (9) and a back projection surface (11). To advantageously further develop such a projection device, it is proposed that the projection device (1) exhibits a three-dimensional projection dome (3) on which the back projection surface (11) is located and a wide-angle projection lens, and that during operation the projector (9) projects images by means of the wide-angle projection lens onto the projection surface (11) of the projection dome (3). The invention further relates to a system for generating and back projecting round images. To advantageously further develop a system for generating and back projecting round images, it is proposed that the system comprises at least one projection device (1) and at least one 360° dome camera. The invention further relates to a method for back projection of round images, in particular of round pictures or round film recordings, comprising at least the method steps: providing round images, providing a projection device (1), projecting the provided round images onto the back projection surface (11) located on the projection dome (3). The invention further relates to a projection dome (3) which comprises a dome body or consists of a dome body. To advantageously further develop such projection dome, it is proposed that the dome body is manufactured from acrylic glass by means of thermoforming an acrylic glass plate into a dome. The invention further relates to a method for producing a dome projection surface comprising at least the following method steps: providing an acrylic glass plate and forming the acrylic glass plate by means of thermoforming into a dome. |
