PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for determining the presence of Helicobacter suis which lives in a stomach similarly to Helicobacter pylori, and is supposed to cause gastritis, gastric ulcer, gastric cancer, lymphoma, or the like, and for which a measurement (detection)/diagnostic method is not yet established, and to provide a diagnostic method for Helicobacter suis infection, as well as to provide a drug or kit for use in the method concerned.SOLUTION: The invention relates to a method for determining the presence of Helicobacter suis in a sample comprising measuring at least one selected from the group consisting of (i) a nucleic acid having a base sequence or a part thereof described in a specific sequence, (ii) a protein or peptide having an amino acid sequence or a part thereof described in a specific sequence, and (iii) an antibody recognizing the protein or peptide of (ii), in the sample derived from a subject. |
