PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner excellent in development durability, storage stability, environmental stability, member contamination resistance, and low-temperature fixability.SOLUTION: There is provided a toner having a surface layer containing an organic silicon polymer and toner particles having a charge control agent, where the organic silicon polymer has a unit represented by the following formula (T3R)R-Si(O), in which R is a hydrocarbon group having 1 or more and 6 or less carbon atoms; in measurement using ESCA (Electron Spectroscopy for Chemical Analysis) of the surface of the toner particles, the density of silicon dSi relative to the total density (dC+dO+dSi) of the density of carbon elements dC, density of oxygen elements dO, and density of silicon elements dSi on the surface of the toner particles is 0.50atomic% or more; and the charge control agent is a polymer having a specific structure. |
