The invention relates to a fan unit (1) to be associated with a radiator (5) of a heat engine of a motor vehicle, the fan unit (1) comprising a fan (2) housed in a nozzle (3) comprising air-guiding portions (3b) and a thermal screen (4) for protecting an area of the nozzle (3), characterised in that the nozzle (3) does not have a guiding portion in the area protected by the thermal screen (4), the thermal screen (4) operating as a portion for guiding the air from the nozzle (3) to said area. The invention is applicable in the field of motor vehicles.
