Provided are an intellectual property evaluation system whereby, with respect to a large volume of patent information, a relationship between the patent information and an intellectual property case can be analyzed and evaluated with less effort but accurately and quickly, a control method, and a program. An intellectual property evaluation system is provided with: an element evaluation unit that evaluates an element for evaluating a relationship between data concerning patent information and a predetermined intellectual property case, and that re-evaluates the evaluated element; a relationship evaluation unit that evaluates the relationship between the data concerning the patent information and the predetermined intellectual property case on the basis of the element, and that re-evaluates the relationship between the data concerning the patent information and the predetermined intellectual property case on the basis of the element updated by a re-evaluation based on the evaluated relationship; a threshold value specifying unit that specifies a threshold value with respect to the relationship obtained by the relationship evaluation unit or an updated relationship; and a patent information analysis unit that evaluates the relationship between the patent information and the predetermined intellectual property case by controlling the element evaluation unit, the relationship evaluation unit, and the threshold value specifying unit. |
