The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition to prevent or treat olfactory disorders, which comprises polymethoxylated flavones (PMFs) as active ingredients. Also, the present invention relates to a health functional food to prevent or improve olfactory disorders, which comprises PMFs as active ingredients. The composition comprising PMFs, according to the present invention, stimulates generation of cAMP via olfactory stimulus and enhances olfactory recognition regarding various olfactory stimulants.
