PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly deal with a change in each situation during processing such as the situations of a sheet material and a device, always perform processing in a proper state, therefore efficiently perform highly accurate processing, and prevent outflow of defectives.SOLUTION: A sheet material meander control device includes: unwinding means 3 for holding and unwinding a coil-shaped raw fabric sheet material 2; processing means 6 for performing prescribed processing on the raw fabric sheet material 2 unwound from the unwinding means 3 while traveling the raw fabric sheet material 2; and control means 7 for controlling the unwinding means 3 and the processing means 6. The control means 7 includes: meander correction means for detecting and correcting meander of the raw fabric sheet material 2; speed adjustment means for reducing a traveling speed of the raw fabric sheet material 2 when meander amount of the raw fabric sheet material 2 exceeds a preliminarily set threshold; and traveling stop means for stopping traveling of the raw fabric sheet material 2 or warning means for issuing a warning when the traveling speed of the raw fabric sheet material 2 exceeds a preliminarily set second threshold.
