A current sensor is provided with a primary conductor (110) through which current to be measured flows, a first magnetic sensor (120) for detecting the strength of the magnetic field generated by the current flowing through the primary conductor (110), and a magnetic body (160) surrounding the primary conductor (110) with a space therebetween. The primary conductor (110) includes a first flat plate portion (111a) and second flat plate portion (112) disposed so as to oppose each other with a space therebetween. The first flat plate portion (111a) and the second flat plate portion (112) are electrically connected to each other in series, and the current flows through the flat plate portions in opposite directions. The first magnetic sensor (120) is disposed within the area surrounded by the magnetic body (160). The first magnetic sensor (120) is disposed between the first flat plate portion (111a) and the second flat plate portion (112) so as to be capable of detecting a magnetic field orthogonal to the direction in which the first flat plate portion (111a) and the second flat plate portion (112) are aligned. |
