PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more quickly acquire demand prediction results of a plurality of shops while avoiding occurrence of a discrepancy among the demand prediction results.SOLUTION: A demand prediction device comprises: a summed shop data generation section generating summed shop data obtained by summing up purchase result data of each shop; an input reception section causing an external device to display an editing screen displaying promotion sales data including a variation factor of a purchase number related to a promotion sales project and purchase result data and receiving editing of a variation factor of the promotion sales data displayed; and a predicted purchase number calculation section executing prediction calculation of a purchase number with respect to item purchase result data for each shop in response to the promotion sales data where the editing is received subsequent to the prediction calculation with respect to the summed shop data while executing the prediction calculation of the purchase number with respect to the summed shop data in response to the promotion sales data where the editing is received via the input reception section with respect to the variation factor. The predicted purchase number calculation section does not execute the prediction calculation of the purchase number with respect to the summed shop data when the prediction calculation of the purchase number with respect to the item purchase result data for each shop is not completed. |
