A single submerged arc welding method for high-Cr creep strength-enhanced ferritic (CSEF) steel is provided which is capable of inhibiting hot cracks in a first layer. The single submerged arc welding method for high-Cr CSEF steel is characterized in that a welding wire, which includes less than 0.05 mass% of C, not more than 0.055 mass% of N, and more than 0.05 mass% but not more than 0.50 mass% of Si, the remainder comprising Fe and unavoidable impurities, and a welding flux, which includes 2-30 mass% of CaF2, 2-20 mass% of CaO, 20-40 mass% of MgO, 5-25 mass% of Al2O3, and a total of 5-25 mass% (in terms of SiO2) of Si and SiO2, and in which BaO is restricted to 25 mass% or less, ZrO2 is restricted to 10 mass% or less, and TiO2 is restricted to less than 5 mass%, are combined and used. |
