The present invention relates to a negative electrode active material for a secondary battery comprising: a carbon-silicon composite core layer; and a shell layer which is evenly coated on the surface of the core layer, and includes a conductive material and carbon substances for fixing the conductive material. The present invention also relates to a manufacturing method thereof, and to a negative electrode for a secondary battery and the secondary battery applying the same.
