摘要 The present invention relates to a system and a method for controlling a lighting module for safety of a pedestrian. The system for controlling a lighting module comprises a plurality of lighting modules connected to a network. The plurality of lighting modules each comprise: a communications unit to detect a short-distance communication signal from a user terminal in which an application linked to the lighting modules is installed, and communicate with the user terminal or the lighting modules; and a control unit to increase an illumination intensity of the lighting modules when the short-distance communication signal is detected from the user terminal. According to the present invention, a pedestrian is detected at night to increase the illumination intensity of the lighting modules to illuminate the vicinity of the pedestrian with an illumination intensity higher than a normal illumination intensity to allow the pedestrian to see another pedestrian moving in a surrounding environment and on an opposite side, thus the pedestrian can relieve anxiety and maintain psychological stability when walking at night. Also, since the illumination intensity in the vicinity of the pedestrian is increased, potential criminals can be cautious and become reluctant to commit a crime, which greatly contributes to crime prevention. In addition, although the illumination intensity is increased by turning on an LED element, light distribution is adjusted to provide the pedestrian with a brighter environment without causing harm to a nearby residential space or a different space.
