摘要 |
The present invention relates to an antimicrobial peptide and, more specifically, to: a mutant antimicrobial peptide in which the resistance against proteases and the activity in the serum are greatly improved by modifying a part of the amino acids of halocidin, which is an antimicrobial peptide isolated from Halocynthia aurantium body fluid cells; and an antimicrobial agent containing the antimicrobial peptide as an active ingredient. The antimicrobial peptide of the present invention is an antimicrobial peptide having strong fungicidal activity against fungi and excellent resistance against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, particularly, antibiotic resistant bacteria, overcoming the problems of the hydrolysis by proteases and the loss of antimicrobial activity caused by nonspecific binding with serum proteins, which are large obstacles to the practical use of an antimicrobial peptide, and useful as a novel peptide antibiotic. |
