The present invention relates to an electrode catalyst for a fuel cell, and a manufacturing method thereof, and more specifically, to an electrode catalyst for a fuel cell, which prevents cohesion of catalyst particles by adhering a cationic polymer functional group to a surface of a carbon-based carrier, and increases dispersivity, and to a manufacturing method thereof. According to the present invention, the electrode catalyst has effects of having a high content of metal catalyst particle, excellent battery performance and stably electrochemical durability, as well as preventing cohesion of catalyst particles by adhering a cationic polymer functional group to a surface of a carbon-based carrier, and increasing dispersivity, by applying metal catalyst particles to the carbon-based carrier of which surface is treated by a cationic polymer. |
