PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toothed belt improved in bending fatigue resistance in an environment where water and oil are attached, and capable of reducing a belt width.SOLUTION: In a toothed belt 10, a plurality of core wires 12 buried in a belt body 11 and arranged in a width direction of the toothed belt 10 are formed by arranging glass fiber bundles 12b as sheath yarns on outer peripheral faces of carbon fiber bundles 12a as core yarns in a state of being in parallel with the carbon fiber bundles 12a and having no clearance between the glass fibber bundles 12b adjacent to each other, and twisting the carbon fiber bundles 12a and the glass fiber bundles 12b. In the hybrid core wires 12 formed as mentioned above and composed of the carbon fiber bundles 12a as core yarns and the glass fiber bundles 12b as the sheath yarns, the carbon fiber bundles 12a as core yarns are firmly bundled and fixed by the glass fiber bundles 12b. In a cross-sectional view of the toothed belt 10, an interval between the core wires 12 are 40% or less of a diameter of the core wires 12. |
