PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous clear ink which has excellent storage stability and discharge stability, can record an image excellent in scratch resistance and can obtain an image having excellent image clarity even when recorded on glossy paper.SOLUTION: There is provided an aqueous clear ink for inkjet applications containing resin particles. The resin particles are formed of a copolymer having a unit (X) derived from an α-olefin polymer containing an ethylene unit, a unit (A) derived from an α,&bgr;-ethylenically unsaturated acid monomer containing maleic acid anhydride and a unit (B) derived from two or more ethylenically unsaturated acid monomers other than the α,&bgr;-ethylenically unsaturated acid monomer, the α-olefin polymer has a density of 850 kg/mor more and 985 kg/mor less and the unit (B) has a glass transition temperature of -5°C or more. |
