PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a reflection type display device capable of preventing both insufficient adhesion and occurrence of display nonuniformity by devising the arrangement balance of an outer circumferential seal to equalize the influences of a pressure when bonding two substrates.SOLUTION: In an outer circumferential seal arrangement step, a plurality of separated outer circumferential seals surrounding a plurality of display areas, respectively, are arranged. Each of the plurality of outer circumferential seals has a first side part vertical to a bonding direction of one substrate and another substrate. In at least one pair of first side parts in two adjacent outer circumferential seals in the direction vertical to the bonding direction of the one substrate and the other substrate, the one pair of first side parts is offset in the bonding direction just for a predetermined distance.
