MAGNETIC RESONANT COUPLING WPT ANTENNA FOR WIRELESS CHARGING OF MULTIPLE MOBILE DEVICES

The present invention relates to a magnetic resonant coupling WPT antenna for wireless charging of multiple mobile devices, which comprises a transmission antenna consisting of a transmission resonant coil and a source coil connected to a wireless power transmission circuit; and a receiving antenna consisting of a load coil and an Rx resonant coil having a resonant frequency identical to the transmission resonant coil. The magnetic resonant coupling WPT antenna uses a frequency of 6.78 MHz, and a magnetic resonant coupling is generated between the resonant coils of the receiving antenna and the transmission antenna having the identical frequency, and thereby transmitting power wirelessly and applying current on a load by generating inductive coupling in a load coil. The transmission antenna and the receiving antenna used as a magnetic resonant coupling WPT antenna, are equipped with a rectangular loop antenna having multi turns, equipped with rectangular wires of the resonant coil, and an interval between wires of external turns (4 turns) and internal turns (3 turns) of the resonant coil is spaced relatively largely apart to suppress current attenuation, and thereby lowering a coupling coefficient(k) between wires composing a loop antenna, and reducing an impact of a proximity effect of wires. A magnetic field distribution area of WPT antenna having a relatively improved Q-factor is increased by having a reduced resistance and a transmission distance and a transmission area compared with a loop antenna with circular resonant coil structure are increased. The efficiency of charging is improved when wirelessly charging single and multiple WPT apparatus.
