PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel battery which enables the enhancement of a power generation performance by making arrangement so that fuel can be sufficiently supplied to a gas diffusion layer even at a contact portion of a gas diffusion layer and a fuel supplying member.SOLUTION: A fuel battery comprises: an electrolytic film 16; a fuel-side electrode 17 disposed on the electrolytic film 16 so as to be adjacent thereto on one side in a direction of a thickness of the electrolytic film 16; an oxygen-side electrode 18 disposed on the electrolytic film 16 so as to be adjacent thereto on the other side in the thickness direction; a fuel-side diffusion layer 15A disposed on the fuel-side electrode 17 so as to be adjacent thereto on the one side in the thickness direction; and a separator 14 disposed on the fuel-side diffusion layer 15A so as to be adjacent thereto on the one side in the thickness direction, and having fuel flow paths 68 formed therein for supplying a fuel to the fuel-side diffusion layer 15A. The separator 14 has first ribs 66 extending in a direction orthogonal to the thickness direction, spaced apart from and disposed in parallel with one another, and defining the fuel flow paths 68. A ten-point average roughness Rmeasured on the surfaces of the first ribs 66 on the other side in a thickness direction thereof according to JIS B 0601(1994) is over 25 up to 100 μm. |
