PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device having a configuration capable of reducing manufacturing variations in characteristics such as emission intensity.SOLUTION: A light-emitting device 1 includes a wavelength conversion member 10 and a light source 11. When excitation light is incident on the wavelength conversion member 10, the wavelength conversion member 10 emits light having a wavelength different from that of the excitation light. The light source 11 irradiates the wavelength conversion member 10 with the excitation light. The wavelength conversion member 10 has a porous body 12 and quantum dots 14. The quantum dots 14 are carried on the inner surface of the porous body 12.
