1. A method of oil recovery comprising:
a) providing an oil reservoir; b) injecting the oil reservoir with a medium selected from the group consisting of:
i) a cell-containing medium comprising one or more Shewanella sp.; andii) a conditioned medium which is substantially cell free and which has been in contact with one or more Shewanella sp.; wherein the Shewanella sp. comprises a 16S rDNA comprising SEQ ID NO:21, SEQ ID NO:23 and SEQ ID NO:28; and c) recovering oil from the oil reservoir;wherein the medium enhances oil recovery. |
