A tire state detection device is provided with a tire-side device (1) having a signal processing unit (13) for outputting data relating to a length of contact of a tire (3) with a road surface, and a transmitter (15) for transmitting data relating to the length of contact; and a vehicle-side device (2) having a receiver (21) for receiving the data relating to the length of contact transmitted from the transmitter, a computation unit (22c) for computing the length of contact from the data relating to the length of contact, a threshold value setting unit (22b) for setting a warning threshold value for the length of contact associated with a tire ID which is identification information unique to the tire representing a road index of the tire, and a determination unit (22d) for determining that the tire is in an overloaded state when the length of contact computed by the computation unit is greater than or equal to the warning threshold value. |
