PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To excellently curb a movement of toner from a developing roller to a photoreceptor during non-development.SOLUTION: An image formation device comprises: a photoreceptor (a photoreceptor drum 27) in which an electrostatic latent image is formed; a developing roller 100 that comes into contact with the photoreceptor to supply developer to the electrostatic latent image on the photoreceptor; a peripheral velocity change unit (a peripheral switch mechanism 220) that changes a peripheral ratio of the developing roller 100 relative to the photoreceptor; a developing bias application unit (a developing bias application circuit 230) that applies a developing bias to the developing roller 100; and a control unit (a control device 300) that controls the peripheral ration change unit and the developing bias application unit. The control unit is configured to: implement control processing during development in which, during the development, the developing bias is a high developing bias and the peripheral ratio is a large peripheral ratio; and implement control processing during non-development in which, during the non-development, the developing bias is a low developing bias smaller in an absolute value than the high developing bias in a prescribed period of time and larger in the absolute value than 0, and the peripheral ratio is a small peripheral ratio smaller than a large peripheral ratio and larger than 0. |
