PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of porous electrode base material used as a gas diffusion electrode base material of solid polymer fuel cell having satisfactory gas diffusion property, conductivity and surface smoothness with a low production cost.SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of porous electrode base material is a method for continuously drying a porous electrode base material precursor sheet which is constituted of carbon short fibers (A) and precursor fibers (b). In the manufacturing method of the porous electrode base material precursor sheet, when the precursor sheet is fixed in a width direction, the ratio of the bearing width in the width direction of the sheet after drying and before drying is 1.05 or more. |
