The present invention provides a heating cooker wherein a plurality of IH coils (3) are provided under a top plate and heats an object to be heated by induction heating. An operation display unit (7) comprises a touch panel (5), displays information prompting an operation via the touch panel (5), and receives input of the operation via the touch panel. A control unit (202) controls the operation display unit (7) and a drive unit (203) in accordance with the operation of the operation display unit (7). The control unit (202) further sets a selection region on the touch panel (5) and a heating region on the top plate in accordance with a drag operation on the touch panel (5). The operation display unit (7) displays the selection region. The drive unit (203) drives one or more IH coils (3) corresponding to the heating region. Due to this configuration, it is possible to provide a more inexpensive heating cooker with which the degree of freedom pertaining to the position where an object to be heated is placed can be improved without compromising operability.
