PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing reel, when a fishline is pulled out against drag force, preventing the fishline from being damaged, reducing a load applied to a level wind device, improving biting and sensitivity of the fishline, and further improving fishing operability.SOLUTION: The fishing reel includes a changeover mechanism 70 for changing over an attitude of a fishline guide body 60 so as to position the fishline at a narrow guide part 67 or a wide opening part 68 of the fishline guide body 60. In a fishline take-up state for taking up the fishline around a spool, the changeover mechanism 70 causes the fishline guide body 60 to position the fishline at the narrow guide part 67 and, in the fishline take-up state, when the fishline is pulled out against drag force applied thereto by a drag device, the fishline is configured to be positioned at the wide opening part 68 by the changeover mechanism 70. At least a part of the changeover mechanism 70 is provided between a drive shaft of the level wind device and a rotating body. |
