PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exclusively use an image forming apparatus by one host device.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 110 is shifted into a lock state which is a state where only image formation instructed by a client PC 130A can be executed by a lock instruction from the client PC 130A and shifted into a lock release state which is a state where the image formation instructed from the client PC 130A or a client PC 130B can be executed by a lock release instruction from the client PC 130A and transmits status information indicating the state of the image forming apparatus 110 to the client PC 130A, according to a status information transmission instruction from the client PC 130A. When it is determined that the image forming apparatus 110 is not in the lock state on the basis of the status information transmitted from the image forming apparatus 110, the client PC 130A transmits the lock instruction to the image forming apparatus 110. |
