PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide compositions comprising cross-linkers for cross-linking a retention vehicle polymer.SOLUTION: The compositions are particularly useful for local administration of a bioactive agent, where persistent or extended availability of the bioactive agent at the site of administration is desired. Also disclosed are methods of delivering the compositions to a subject.
