PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dielectric ceramic that can combine high dielectric constant with low tanδ.SOLUTION: The dielectric ceramic contains a ceramic particle and a secondary phase; the ceramic particle is in a perovskite structure comprising barium and titanium and has a domain; the secondary phase is within the ceramic particle and comprises silicon and oxygen; in this constitution, tanδ is reduced by the action from the secondary phase comprising silicon and oxygen; and, in this dielectric ceramic, the secondary phase is within the ceramic particle, so that the decrease of dielectric constant like the case where the secondary phase is at grain boundary or at triple point, does not occur, and therefore according to this constitution, it is possible to reduce tanδ without lowering the dielectric constant. |
