PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector provided with a reception section capable of receiving an optical signal from a rear surface side regardless of presence or absence of a cable cover.SOLUTION: A projector 1 comprises: a projection lens 36 having a plurality of lenses and projecting light modulated by an optical modulator; a reception section 61 receiving an optical signal from an outside and outputting an electric signal corresponding to the received optical signal; and an exterior housing 2 constituting an exterior. The projection lens 36 has a front side lens 361 being disposed at a rearmost stage of an optical path out of the plurality of lenses and having an outer diameter greater than outer diameters of the other lenses. The exterior housing 2 has an upper surface portion 2U being an upper side in an attitude where the projector 1 is set down. A swollen portion 20 being swollen so as to cover a part of a peripheral portion of the front side lens 361 is provided on the upper surface portion 2U. The reception section 61 is disposed inside the swollen portion 20 in orientation for receiving the optical signal made incident from an opposite side to a side where the projection lens 36 projects the light. |
