PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protection element which uses a predetermined fuse element and does not include a low melting point metal material between the fuse element and a pattern electrode, and a manufacturing method of the protection element in which a low melting point alloy layer that may exert any adverse influence on a fusing temperature or operation accuracy is not formed in the fuse element, flux residue that causes a void is not left and a cleaning step is not required.SOLUTION: The protection element includes an insulation substrate 11, a plurality of pattern electrodes 12 provided on the insulation substrate 11, and a predetermined fuse element 13 electrically connected to the pattern electrodes 12. The fuse element 13 is formed from a soluble high melting point metal material. A low melting point metal material having a melting temperature lower than a melting temperature of a high melting point metal material and a low melting point alloy layer derivative from the low melting point metal material are not included on a junction interface with the pattern electrodes 12. |
