PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the ink use amount by changing a printing result in a range allowed by a user.SOLUTION: A host computer 2 comprises a print control part 100 that generates print data containing the ink use amount for each color used by a printer 3; and a setting part 101 that accepts a setting for allowing degradation in printing density and a setting for allowing a change in printing color. When the setting for allowing degradation in printing density is employed, the print control part 100 generates print data in which the ink use amount for each color is reduced compared to when the setting for allowing degradation in printing density is not employed. When the setting for allowing a change in printing color is employed, the print control part 100 generates print data in which the ink used amount for a prescribed color is reduced compared to when the setting for allowing a change in printing color is not employed. |
