The invention relates to a household device (1) comprising: a main body (2) having an inner chamber (3); a door leaf (4), arranged such that it can pivot in relation to the main body (2), for opening and closing the inner chamber (3); and a closing device (20) having an actuator (21). The actuator (21) is designed to move the closing device (20) back and forth between a position locking the closed door leaf (4) and a position unlocking the closed door leaf (4). The closing device (20) has an RFID reader (27) and the household device (1) is designed to control the actuator (21), based on a code which is saved in an RFID transponder (30), which is read using the RFID reader (27), and which is assigned to the closing device (20), and in such a way that, depending on the position of the closing device (20) before the reading of the code, the actuator moves the closing device (20) from the locked position into the unlocked position, and from the unlocked position into the locked position. |
