Provided are a method and device for generating an account data snapshot. The method comprises: obtaining a serial number J of a data processing record closest to and preceding the time of generating a data snapshot, and comparing the serial number of the latest data processing record of each account with J; if the serial number is less than or equal to J, then no data update has occurred for the account from the snapshooting time to the current time, and the current balance of the account is directly obtained as the data snapshot; if the serial number is greater than J, then a data update has occurred for the account from the snapshooting time to the current time, and the current balance of the account cannot be used as the data snapshot. An embodiment of the present invention obtains the closing or opening balance of an account in data processing meeting related conditions as a data snapshot of the account, without the need to back up ledger account data tables, thus preventing a long interruption of the update of ledger account data tables. |
