<p>The invention provides a process for the removal of hydrogen sulphide from contaminated gas which comprises treating the gas with a cation exchange resin doped with ions of a metal selected from magnesium, calcium, vanadium, chromium, manganese, iron, cobalt, nickel, copper, zinc, cadmium and lead, and regenerating the resin by treatment thereof with an oxidizing microorganism.</p> |
