A spray nozzle is used for a process for cooling a hot glass sheet during a laser scoring process or another high-energy glass heating process. The scoring process is performed by a high-energy means such as a laser. The spray nozzle is arranged close to a glass sheet for generating gas for a liquid such as water used for cooling a glass placed on the nozzle. The gas, including air bubbles, is removed from the cooling liquid. Then, the spray nozzle is used to spray the cooling liquid onto the glass sheet at a proceeding location of a laser for scoring the sheet, similar to using a moving type anvil machine on the bottom of a draw. The spray nozzle (a fuzzy nozzle) has a fuzzy opening and tubing connected to a discharge position. The fuzzy nozzle has a slope passage where a pre-treated gas bubbles near the fuzzy opening of the nozzle. The spray nozzle includes a cooling coil which passes around a nozzle passage for moving a cooling agent along the coil. By using the nozzle, the cooling liquid can be cooled, and the solubility of bubbles in the cooling liquid of the nozzle can be increased. A gas filter accommodates a cooling liquid enriched with gas from the source of pressurized liquid. From the cooling liquid, gas is removed, and the cooling liquid without gas is sent to the spray nozzle. |
