Transmission gear ratio is controlled on the basis of the operating conditions. Identified is whether the driver requires or not the acceleration to set the linear mode whereat such gear ratio is selected whereat the transmission input shaft rpm exceeds that used in normal mode at identical speed of the vehicle when the ID means reveals that the acceleration is required by the driver proceeding from the accelerator pedal opening an accelerator opening speed. The vehicle forward/reverse acceleration is defined to cancel the linear mode when no acceleration is required proceeding from the forward/reverse acceleration in actuation in linear mode when even the accelerator pedal opening and accelerator closure speed meet the requirements. This invention discloses the control over gear ratio shifting in infinitely variable transmission.EFFECT: reliable readout of no-acceleration intention of the driver at changeover from the normal mode to linear mode.7 cl, 6 dwg |
