摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing Mn-Zn-based ferrite capable of reducing cost greatly by attaining high permeability characteristic having initial permeability of ≥10,000 at 10 kHz and at room temperature, by short-time firing at a comparatively low temperature.SOLUTION: When producing Mn-Zn-based ferrite containing 52-54 mol% FeO, 20-23 mol% ZnO and 23-28 mol% MnO, production is performed by following steps: a roasting step of roasting iron chloride aqueous solution to recover iron oxide having an Al content of 0.040-0.10 mass% from the iron chloride aqueous solution; a calcining step of mixing zinc compound and manganese compound with the iron oxide recovered in the roasting step, and calcining the mixture; a molding step of crushing a calcined product obtained in the calcining step so as to have a prescribed size, and then molding it so as to have a prescribed shape; and a firing step of firing a molded product obtained in the molding step.
