<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an air conditioner responding to a large volume of air-conditioning load and capable of controlling a pressure in a low pressure side to at most an upper limit. <P>SOLUTION: An air conditioner 100 includes a first heat source machine 5, a second heat source machine 6, and an indoor unit 13 to which the first heat source machine 5 and the second heat source machine 6 are connected in parallel, and controls the number of heat source machines to drive in accordance with a cooling load of the indoor unit. The indoor unit 13 includes a first indoor heat exchanger 12a and a second indoor heat exchanger 12b connected in parallel to each other, and a first expansion valve 10 and a second expansion valve 11 connected respectively to the heat exchangers. The first heat source machine 5 and the second heat source machine 6 include a pressure sensor 4 for detecting a pressure of a refrigerant sucked by a compressor 1. If a detection value by the pressure sensor 4 exceeds a set pressure during only the first heat source machine 5 is driven in the air conditioner 100, a control device 17 closes a second expansion valve 11 and opens the first expansion valve 10 to a prescribed opening degree. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
