<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce irregularities generated on surfaces of ends of a tire component after the ends are joined to each other. <P>SOLUTION: This joining device 1 joins the ends of the tire component S to each other. A pair of joining members 10 is rolled on the ends of the tire component S and bite the ends of the tire component S between teeth engaging with each other to join the ends to each other. A first pressing means 30 presses the pair of joining members 10 against the ends of the tire component S. A grinding roller 20 is rolled on the joined ends of the tire component S to grind the surfaces of the ends.
