The present invention relates to a ballast driving system according to an operation zone of a ballast water treatment system (BWTS) which can reduce power consumption by driving a ballast system under the state that the BWTS stops in a non-transit mode, and can extend a life span of equipment without using the BWTS. In the ballast driving system for treating ballast water for balance of a ship, the non-transit mode is realized so that a ballast pump (200) absorbs the ballast water stored in a ballast tank (100) during ballasting work in the operation zone of the ship, and the ballast system is driven without the ballast water treatment system (300) treating the ballast water supplied from the ballast pump (200) as being connected to the ballast pump (200) through a connection pipe.
