A Co-Cr-Mo-based alloy which can be used as a biomaterial, is highly safe, and has high strength, high ductibility and high fatigue strength, said alloy being produced by subjecting a raw material to hot working so that the total rolling reduction rate at 1000°C or higher becomes 60% or more, wherein the raw material comprises 25 to 35 mass% of Cr, 3 to 8 mass% of Mo and impurities containing at least one selected from the group consisting of 0 to 0.1 mass% of Zr, 1 mass% or less of Si, 1 mass% or less of Mn, 0.01 to 0.3 mass% of C and 0.08 to 0.8 mass% of N, with the remainder being Co; and a method for producing the alloy. |
