1,013,849. Mounting terminals. TELEFUNKEN PATENTVERWERTUNGS G.m.b.H. Sept. 21, 1962 [Sept. 21, 1961], No. 35942/62. Heading H2E. [Also in Division H1] An insulating support 1 for an electrical circuit (not shown), e.g. a microminiature circuit, has an edge 2 recessed as at 3, each recess accommodating a conducting pin 4 which is flush with the surface of support 1 carrying the said circuit, a conductor of the circuit overlying each pin. As shown, the pins 4 are of rectangular cross-section and of the same thickness as support 1, which may be made of glass or ceramic, the pins being soldered to metallized recesses in the support or embedded during a compressing and sintering step when the support is made. The support and pins are ground flush and polished before components are deposited on the support, as by evaporation or cathode sputtering. A pin may be located in a recessed edge of a recess in the support, an active circuit element being soldered or welded to such pin. The pins of adjacent supports may be joined by wrapped connections. |
