1,013,827. Portable stoves burning liquefied gases. A. O. G. SOC D'APPLICATION DES GAZ PRODUITS ROUTIERS ET MATERIAUX. April 26, 1962 [April 28, 1961], No. 15908/62. Headings F4P, F4T and F4W. In a portable stove or other appliance having a burner supplied with gas from a throw-away fuel tank 3 containing liquefied gas, the tank is retained in a burner support 2 against the downward action of the gas-intake head 1 on the upper wall of the tank, by the concave bottom 3c of the tank engaging the transverse branches 13a of a pair of U-shaped clips 13 pivoted to the support 2. A fresh fuel tank 3 is loaded into the support 2 against the action of spring blades 11, and the two U-shaped clips are swung into position with the inwardlycurved transverse branches 13a engaging the concave bottom of the fuel tank. The gasintake head 1 of a burner is then screwed into a ring 10 secured to the support 2 so that a seal 8 on the end of a plunger 7 slidable in the head 1, engages a depression 3a on the fuel tank, further screwing causing a piercing member (not shown) slidable in the plunger 7 to perforate the tank 3. The head 1 is provided with foldable utensil supporting arms 5, and carries a burner 4 having air inlets 4a. The gas supply to the burner is controlled by a gas-regulating cock 6. Specifications 811,588 and 819,847 are referred to. |
