摘要 The present invention relates to functional coffee for dropping blood sugar level, which comprises Momordica charantia L. having an excellent function of dropping blood sugar level as a main ingredient and to a preparation method thereof. The present invention provides coffee mixed with Momordica charantia L. and a preparation method thereof, wherein the preparation method thereof comprises: a drying step for washing and naturally drying the fruit peel of Momordica charantia L.; a crushing step for crushing the fruit peel of Momordica charantia L. to a size of 1 to 2 mm; a freeze-drying step for freeze-drying the fruit peel of Momordica charantia L. at -180°C; a fine grinding step for grinding the fruit peel of Momordica charantia L. to powder; and a mixing step for mixing the powder of the fruit peel of Momordica charantia L. with powder of coffee beans. According to the present invention, Momordica charantia L. is processed to powder and the powder is mixed with coffee powder to provide mixed coffee having an excellent function of dropping blood sugar level and an effect of preventing and ameliorating diabetes, thereby allowing the mixed coffee to be usefully used in preventing or ameliorating diseases caused by abnormality in blood sugar as well as diabetes and to contribute to establishment of a healthful tea culture.
